Join a free event and RSVP
Who this is for: Guests and members
It helps you find a free event and book a place for yourself and the people coming with you.
Before you start
- Everything on the page is free and open to everyone, whatever your faith or background.
- You do not need an account. The RSVP form asks for your name and how to reach you.
- Have an email address ready. Your confirmation is sent there.
Steps
- Open Free events from the site menu, or go to djjs.us/events.
- Under What’s on, look at the List (or the Calendar, which shows the same events by day). Online, every week comes first. The In person, near you section lists events at a venue.
- Choose Details to read the date, the place with Directions, and the cost. Or go straight to the next step.
- Choose Book a free place beside the event. A form titled RSVP opens, with the event’s name, time and place at the top.
- Fill in First name, Mobile / WhatsApp number (pick the country code first) and Email address. Last name is optional. Choose how many are coming under How many people are coming, including you?
- Choose Send RSVP.
What happens next
- You see “You’re on the list,” followed by your first name and “ji”, and “A confirmation is on its way to your inbox.” Choose Done to close the form.
- An RSVP never makes an account for you. Your name, email and number are kept in the DJJS address book.
- If you send the form again for the same event with the same name and email address, the new answer replaces your earlier one.
- You can leave the optional section, Add your mailing address for program invitations, closed. Two boxes near the end, Mail me program invitations at this address and Email me the DJJS newsletter, are yours to tick. They start unticked.
- Your details are used by DJJS to keep in touch about programs. See the privacy notice.
If something looks different
- There is no Book a free place button. The event has already begun. The message “RSVPs for this program closed when it began” appears if the form is still open on your screen.
- “This program is full.” The event has a limit on places. The message asks you to contact the centre for its waiting list. If only some places are left it says how many, and you can choose fewer people.
- No events in person are listed. The page says so and points you to Find a center near you for its regular times. The weekly online gatherings are listed under Online, every week, with Send me the link.
- Members can also find programs in the Sangat Portal on Programs.
- A question for the team. Use Ask us anything lower on the same page.
