Why this chakra?
This page rests on the (Vishuddha), the fifth of the seven centres. In the yogic tradition it is placed at the throat and is associated with silence, truthfulness and clear expression: speaking, and being heard.
Reaching out is a matter of voice and of listening, which the tradition links with this centre. The ripples are a call travelling outward.
