Report a safeguarding concern
If a child or adult is in danger right now, call 911 (the emergency services) first. Then tell us here.
Tell us about anything that worries you about the safety or wellbeing of a child or an adult at risk at any DJJS program, centre or online space. You don’t have to be sure. Only what happened is needed; everything else is optional. What you write is kept encrypted and seen only by our safeguarding lead and the people who oversee safeguarding.
Why this chakra?
This page rests on the (Anahata), the fourth of the seven centres. In the yogic tradition it is placed in the centre of the chest and is associated with tenderness and compassion, the place where service to others begins.
Keeping people safe is care in its plainest form, which the tradition places in the heart. A soft arc around a small light stands for shelter.
This is how the yogic tradition describes the centres; it is a map for reflection, not a scientific or medical claim.
