Find a center near you
Who this is for: Guests and members
It helps you find the nearest DJJS center (an ashram, a place for meditation and community), when it gathers, and how to get there.
Before you start
- No account is needed. Members see the same page, with a bar at the top that leads back to the Sangat Portal.
- Everything on the page comes from the live directory. If a center has not published a detail, the page leaves it out or tells you to ask the local team.
Steps
- Open Find a center from the site menu, or go to djjs.us/centers.
- Choose your state under Your state and choose Show centers. Or scroll to Every center, on the map.
- On the map, type a city, state, ZIP code, postcode or country into the search box. The list and the pins update as you type.
- Or choose Use my location. Your browser asks you first. The list is then sorted by distance, and a panel above it names your closest center with its distance and buttons.
- Use the region buttons (All regions, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia) to narrow the list.
- Find the center in the list. Choose its name to see it on the map, then choose Directions or Apple Maps, or call its number.
What each center shows
- The name, the address and, when published, a phone number and email.
- Gatherings: the center’s own visiting times. A center that has not published them says to ask the local team on WhatsApp.
- Language, only when the center has listed one.
- Local time, a live clock for centers that have a time zone on record, so you can check the hour before you call.
- WhatsApp this center, only for a center that has a number of its own.
- Center page, the center’s own page.
What happens next
- Your location, if you allow it, stays in your browser. The page says so: “Your location stays in your browser.” If you have already allowed location for djjs.us, the page may sort the list for you as soon as it loads.
- Before your first visit you may wish to read what to expect on Start here.
If something looks different
- “No center in … yet”. The heading names your state, then offers the weekly online gatherings (Send me the online link) and WhatsApp us.
- “No centre matches … yet.” Try a city, a state such as NY, a ZIP or postcode, or a country. Show every centre clears the search, and WhatsApp the New York desk asks where satsang is held near you.
- “Location is turned off for this site.” Search by place instead, or choose a region button. If your location cannot be found, the page says so and offers the same two ways.
- The directory is temporarily unavailable. The page says so and offers WhatsApp.
