HelpGiving, subscriptions and the shop
Subscribe to Akhand Gyan, give it as a gift and follow a parcel
Who this is for: Guests and members
Akhand Gyan, “Unbroken Knowledge”, is the monthly magazine of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan. This guide helps you ask for the printed magazine, send it to another devotee’s home, and follow each parcel.
Before you start
- Have the postal address ready, with a mobile number that includes the country code.
- The yearly price, and how to pay, are set by the branch whose website you are on. You will see both on the Akhand Gyan page and again on your receipt. This website never takes the payment itself.
- You can subscribe signed out. To follow parcels on the My Akhand Gyan page, sign in with the same email or phone number you gave.
Steps
- Open the Akhand Gyan page (djjs.us/akhand-gyan). It is not in the menu: use a link you were given, or, if you are signed in, the Akhand Gyan in the Sangat Portal button on My Akhand Gyan when it shows no subscription yet. Choose Subscribe for one year, or Give it as a gift.
- Choose Hindi edition or English edition.
- Under Delivery, fill in the Recipient’s full name, Mobile number, Street address, City, State / province, Postal / ZIP code and Country. Email is optional.
- To send it to someone else, tick This subscription is a gift for another devotee’s home and give Your name (the giver). Then the name and address above are the recipient’s.
- Choose Subscribe to the print edition.
- Read the receipt. It shows your Reference, the price for the year and the ways to pay. Pay as shown and mention the reference.
What happens next
- The Akhand Gyan office confirms your subscription once your payment arrives. Until then the Akhand Gyan page lists your subscription as Awaiting payment confirmation, and your card on My Akhand Gyan says the payment has not been confirmed yet.
- Your details go only to the Akhand Gyan office, to post the magazine and confirm payment. A one-way fingerprint of your network address is kept for 48 hours to stop spam. Your address itself is never kept for that.
- Open Akhand Gyan subscription from your account menu (on a phone, the Me tab) to follow your parcels. The page is titled My Akhand Gyan. Each subscription has a card with the edition, a status (In Transit, Out for delivery, Delivered, Ready for Pickup at Ashram, or Picked up), the shipment, the issues and the dispatch date.
- When a courier is used, choose Track Package via the carrier’s name to open its tracking page. When the copy is collected at an ashram, the card says where, with any note from the office. Earlier parcels are under Earlier parcels.
- A notice reaches you on your phone, if portal notifications are on, the day a parcel ships. A small card in the portal also tells you once that a parcel is on its way.
- About a month before the year ends, a banner invites you to renew, with the payment steps. This website takes no payment, so nothing is charged to you automatically.
Plans and gifts by email
Where your branch offers plans (digital, print or both), a plans page titled Subscribe to Akhand Gyan lets you choose a plan and pay by the branch’s own methods. The card Support the mission: subscribe to Akhand Gyan on the Bodh Vani page leads there with See the plans. To give a plan as a gift there, sign in, choose As a gift for someone, and give the recipient’s name and email, a start date and an optional message. Tick the line saying you have the recipient’s agreement, then choose Send my request.
Once the gift is paid, the recipient gets an emailed link. They can Accept this gift or No thank you, opt out. Opting out erases the address and message we were given. You see your gifts and their state, never the recipient’s address.
If something looks different
- “No print subscription on this account yet.” The page found none under your email or phone. If you subscribed with another address, ask the office to link it.
- “Preparing your first parcel.” The first parcel has not been dispatched yet.
- “Delivery problem: we’re on it.” The courier reported a problem. Write to the office if it does not clear.
- The Akhand Gyan page sends you to the homepage, or to the portal when you are signed in. The branch whose website you are on has switched the magazine off.
